The best place we have ever stayed a completely
refreshing warm attitude and genuine friendliness.



Allied to this, a superbly modern rebuild, yet retaining
all of the character and external shell. Everything you could
possibly need has been thought of and provided.


All electrics, gas and water in with the price,
and full literature of the area already there,
no ferriting around information centres.

There are walks in abundance, old viaducts to browse,
the total delights of Cumbria, the pennines and North
Yorkshire moors, and Hadrians wall, all very close by.
But the main benefit is the sheer peace and tranquility
and the lovely comfortable lounge and bed to languish in
after your long day out.
Perish the thought of bad weather, but they have thought
of that too, top class books, videos, games, cds and dvds
to play, and tv, video, and dvd players of good quality.
There is a bird table to watch from the patio which has
woodpeckers, gold finches and cute doormice busily
munching a huge stock of nuts.
This was easily the best place we have ever stayed, and
Chris and Trish are lovely people, nothing is too much
trouble.
