Elizabeth Finn Trust
I am recipient of the Trust and have been since being an alcoholic pain
and subsequent recovery. They assist me to get along better than I
would have done without them.
Giving up alcohol and cigarettes is easier with their backing,
and also aids you think, why am I spending charity money
on drink and cigarettes.
They give significant monetary assistance, and cards on your
birthday and Christmas, often when no one else now worries
enough due to your behavior to bother any more.
They also send hampers at Christmas, which is very warming.
I would urge anyone out there not to be way too proud minded to ask,
often it is the small nudge that has the biggest effect.
We all rest on someone elses shoulder at some time in our lives.
Malcolm Pugh July 23rd 2005.
Over 100 years ago Elizabeth Finn founded the DGAA. Renamed in 2000 to do her
honour, the Elizabeth Finn
Trust assists some 1,900 people each year who can no
longer earn a living due to physical or mental problems,
loss of work and family breakdown or those struggling on low income retirement.
